| The Custom Software Process
| |
| Our process is centered on meeting the
highest expectations of our clients. Each phase is marked by a series of
deliverables and client interactions. The typical custom software process is
divided into four phases.
| |
Discovery
The initial definition of the project and determination
of the scope of work, timeframe, and additional constraints and requirements.
| |
Definition
The formal specification of the work to be performed.
Khaki Software will generate screen shots of user interfaces and prepare
prototypes of questionable processes in order to ensure the design fits your
goals and meets your exact needs.
| |
Development
The writing and testing of the custom software. When
possible, functional units and feature sets will be released on an incremental
basis, allowing your business the ability to see the finished product during
its construction.
| |
Delivery
The installation and transfer of existing data (if
necessary) is performed. Documentation, including user manuals and a
master design specification, is provided along with staff training and
post project support.
| |
| |
| Pricing
| |
Custom software development work is billed
on a time and material basis. Invoices are sent on the 1st and 16th day of the
month or in the case of weekend or postal holiday, the next business day. Our
terms for payment are Net 30. Khaki Software reserves the right to ask for a
sensible retainer when deemed necessary.
Service offerings are priced based on time at a set duration of hours standard
to the type of service. Should the project require additional time for
exceeding circumstances, a time estimate and rationale will be provided in a
project scope change request.
In all cases, initial consultation is provided free of charge.
